Privacy. Internet data protection statement
Protecting your personal data is a matter we take very seriously. We would therefore like you to know when we save which information and how we use this. The following statement is an explanation of the steps we take to protect your data.
In principle, you can browse all our online content without submitting any personal data. When you access our website, some data – such as the name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP), the website from which you visited us, the parts of our website that you visit, and your IP address – will be retained for security purposes. Although these data may enable us to identify you, we do not use them for evaluations on a personal level. The data may also be evaluated for statistical purposes.
Acquisition and processing of personal data
Personal data are only acquired made available by the user voluntarily, for example as part of a registration or an order for products and services, when filling in forms or sending e-mails, or through enquiries or requests for materials. We take control and responsibility for the use of the data that are supplied to us. This may mean that your details are sometimes processed on other servers in other countries. If the data protection laws of these countries should differ from the jurisdiction you are used to, we will ensure that the data processor in the country in question takes the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of data protection equivalent to that in your country.
Personal data that you provide will only be used to supply you with the products or services you order, or for other purposes subject to your agreement, in the absence of any legal obligations to the contrary.
Right of access and amendment
You have the right to access all of your personal data that we retain and to check and amend this when you think it is out of date or incorrect. To make such changes, simply send an e-mail to the address listed in the publishing details of this website.
We will save personal data for as long as is required to carry out a service that you have ordered or approved, in the absence of any legal obligations to the contrary (such as a current lawsuit).
Cookies are small text files that are saved in the cache of a website user's Internet browser. Cookies enable Internet browsers to recognize features of websites the next time they are loaded, optimizing web access and simplifying usage. These data are not used to identify visitors to a website personally. Most browsers are set up to accept cookies automatically, but you can also set up your browser to deactivate cookies altogether or to inform you each time cookies are placed on your computer.
Usage statistics can also be compiled by external service providers: we currently use Google Analytics for this purpose. Google uses the aforementioned cookies saved on your computer to enable it to carry out a usage analysis for the website. The website usage information produced by the cookie (including your IP address) is sent to and saved on a Google server in the USA. Google uses this information to supply us with statistical analyses of the usage of our website and to assess the need to provide further services linked to website and Internet usage. Google may transfer these data to third parties if this is prescribed by law, or if third parties process these data on Google's behalf. Under no circumstances will Google link your IP address to other data from Google Analytics. As already mentioned above, you can also change your browser settings to prevent the installation of cookies. Please be informed, however, that changing browser settings in this way may prevent you from making full use of all the functions on this website. By accessing this website, you consent to Google processing your data in the manner and for the purposes described above.
Gondrand International AG takes technical and organizational measures to ensure that the data you supply are not manipulated (either accidentally or deliberately), lost, destroyed or accessed by unauthorized persons. When personal data are acquired and processed, they are transmitted in an encoded format to prevent misuse by third parties. We are continuously upgrading our security procedures to ensure that we keep pace with technological developments.
The constant evolution of the Internet requires us to update our data protection statement from time to time. We reserve the right to make these alterations whenever they are required.
